Make it Monday #51 - Dimensional Sentiment Banner

Just in time: this is my card for the Make It Monday #51 - Dimensional Sentiment Banner. Nichole Heady made a beautiful card using Aqua Mist and Hawain Shores. Unfortunately, I don't have those inks, but I made a nice Valentinesy card.  I first used only Sweet blush cardstock and ink for the hearts stamps (Heart Prints - PTI), but it became too soft. So I finished the card today by adding the Friendship definition (Hero Arts) in fuchsia ink (Vivid). And I stamped the little heart from Heart Prints (PTI) to give a little extra background. I made the banner with Sweet Blush card stock and stamped with a background stamp (American Crafts). Added two Sweet Blush buttons threaded with pink bakers twine (Papersmooches). Viola!

Now I'm really off to bed ;-)

Another PTI card

I made another card for PTI's 5th anniversary! If shipping costs weren't as high, I would have all of the PTI products, haha! But I still love the sets I have at the moment. Soon I will have to buy some more :-)
They have a challenge on the blog of Nichole Heady:
5th Anniversary Day 1: 2012 Team & Our Favorite Things

I was inspired by the favorites of Heather Nichols: Kraft cardstoch, Fresh Snow ink and Spring Moss stitched ribbon. She always makes the most beautiful, creative and fresh designs!! The Little Bitty Bird stampset is still my favorite ^_^

I used Spring Moss cardstock for the card base, die cut a circle in the Kraft panel using Nestabilities circles. I sponged white ink on the green and kraft panel, for a soft look. On top of the circle I added a scallopped circle frame with Vintage Cream cardstock. The branch and birdie are from the stampset Little Bitty Bird (PTI) and the sentiment is from Love Birds (PTI). I colored the leafs and his wings with Copic marker. After adding a heart and some rhinestones from my stash, it was finished!

The prize package is HUGE!! So be sure to visit the website and upload your project!

Now I'm off to bed :)

PTI 5th anniversary!

PTI celebrates its 5th anniversary! So great, congratulations!!! I love the stamps and products, and I always love to visit the blogs of all the PTI girls. Thanks for all the great work!!!

5th Anniversary Day 1: 2012 Team & Our Favorite Things

I was inspired by the beautiful doily card of Jessica Witty.

I created my card using Vintage Cream cardstock and I embossed a doily die (Cheery Lynn design, unfortunately my stash of PTI stuff is little). I cut out a circle of Aqua Mist card stock (PTI) and covered it with XOXO's in Versamark ink, I stamped the sentiment from Mega Mixed Messages (PTI) onto Kraft cardstock (Bassil). The two hearts are: one punched out from Pure Poppy cardstock (PTI) and the other one is stamp with a heart stamp from Heart Prints (PTI), both using the cordinating heart die.

The prize package is HUGE!! So be sure to visit the website and upload your project!

So long!

Paper Smooches Sparks challenge: Hi!

The next card I made using my new Paper Smooches stamps for the Sparks Challenge 15-28 dec. I stretched the challenge a bit, because I wanted to make a springtime card (enough of the winter, haha). I used the colors from the challenge: red, green, brown and white, finished with red glitter.  I stamped a tree using Gently Seasoned (PS) and the bird from My Peeps (PS). I added a piece of green patterned paper to create grass. The patterned paper is from Lime Twist - Life othe Party (My Mind's Eye). The sentiment is from the My Peeps stampset too, stamped in the same brown ink as the three and the bird: Rich Cocoa (Memento).

Lawnscaping Challege #24: Happy Winter Birthday

For the Lawnscaping Challenge #24 Texture I made a non-Christmas card. I used the gorgeous embossing folder of Basic Grey/Sizzix to make the textured white background. The frame was made by using two Nestabillities Labels 1 dies (Spellbinders) on Aqua Must cardstock (PTI). I added some Aqua Mist ribbon and rhinestones. For the centerpiece I stamped two cakes from Bake me a cake (Lawn Fawn). I stamped on a blue patterned paper from Echo Park and added glacing by stamping on white cardstock and adding Diamond Stickles (Ranger). The sentiment is custom made: I stamped the words of the Happy Birhtday sentiment from the same Lawn Fawn stampset separately and added 'winter' in between using Harold ABC (Lawn Fawn).

I really LOVE the result!! Such beautiful winter colors and the glitter in real life is so gorgeous! To finish the cake, I added a lightblue rose from my stash glued on using Glossy Accents (Ranger).

Have a great Christmas!

Make It Monday #44 - Glitter Masking

For the new Make It Monday #44 - Glitter Masking I made my last Christmas card for this year... I already have enough of them! (that's a pity :-P). The task is to create glitter on different areas (ex. by masking parts off). I do not own a Silhouette or any digital cutting machine, so I made a sticker border by hand :)

I used acetate to make a cardbase and I die cut the focal point, using Styled Labels (Sizzix). I stamped some images from the Little Bitty Bird (PTI) stampset. Still love those birds! I colored the tree and birdie with Copic markers. The bird has become a Robin ^-^ (also my boyfriend's name). I put the focal point on sticker paper and cut and edge of 1/8 inch around the border. I added red glitter to the sticky border to create a more Christmas feeling. A few pearls and rhinestones finished the card!

The background is Sheet Music (PTI) stamped in Stazon Cotton White. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Have a nice evening!

You make my life brighter!

My sweetie wanted me to make a card especially for him. "I want an I love you card", he said smiling. So I went to my craft den I spent some time working on this beauty! I used a vanille cardbase, stamped a script background and white embossed it. I used Distress inks to blend a sunset background with yellow, orange, red and pink. I stamped the surfer boy (Greeting farm) and colored him with Copic markers. De sun and sea are patterned papers from Echo Park Yellow and Blue. The sentiment is from Lighten up (There She Goes stamps). I added some Diamond Stickles and a yellow opaque rhinestone for his necklace. Some brads in light blue and dark red finished the project :)

My man loved the card and got tears in his eyes... How adorable!
